Have you ever read Terry Brook's Magic Kingdom of Landover series? That is related to real world-fantasy world time coorelation. I would be most interested in working on any films with you, but I doubt I would be ever be a good help, whether regarding time, filming, acting, editting, scripting, etc. Also, my life seems . . . filled. I have much, and I desire little, save further joy in Jesus Christ.

If someone approached me though, and said, "would you like to direct this Hollywood film?" I would have to say, hands down, YES! Because, once you get that first pro film made, the rest will flow like a river (sorta).

Well, I don't really plan on making movies for a living, more like a hobby; however, in the back of my mind I have been planning for quite some time now to enter a film into the Sundance film festival about two years after I graduate from college. The best place to get into the film industry is for a producer to see your film, and Sundance is where all the producers go. So I guess I'm secretly hoping to become a director, but it's not on "Be Successful" list, rather my "What I dream of doing" list.

Woh, this website is what I've been looking for, or was looking for. While I was still in High School, I decided that there wasn't any way to get into the film industry, other than getting lucky or randomly meeting someone who gives you that big break. I never believed in film schools because you have to pay tons of money for tuition, and then when you graduate, you have no assurance that you are going to get that job as a director (what I would love to be). So I came to the conclusion that the best way to get into the film industry is to first graduate from college (for me that would be getting my Bachelors degree in computer science, I love programming. Also this provides money for making films even though one wouldn't have very much time.) then in my spare time make several good film (films that are good enough to win something at the Sundance Film festival) and then maybe someone will see what you've done. However I would never bank on getting my lucky break by making a film. So the idea is, to have fun making movies, and the side dish is, maybe someone will see my film and want me to direct theres.

Thank you for sending me this link, it looks like a great website.

I've been to a few of those festivals. Sounds like a great place for a high school student to get his foot on the ground.

And Finding a good university would seem to be very important for those who want to enter the corporate world. But the question is how does that help an individual get into film.

But if someone really wants to get into film. Film Connection is about the only choice to consider. Film Connection only places you one-on-one right under a professional filmmaker. Not matter what your aspirations editing, writing the script, acting, gaffing, etc.

I would only suggest taking a few minutes to look at the comparison chart on their website. Http://www.filmconnection.com

Don't be swayed by what others say about the Port Angeles driving test, Jack. It really isn't as bad as the stories make it seem.

Congrats, though!
